Position Summary
The School of Politics, Society, Justice and Public Service at Central Michigan University invites applications for a full-time fixed-term faculty position in the Bachelor of Social Work program beginning in August 2026. The BSW program at CMU is an in-person program requiring face-to-face instruction and office hour availability. Instructional duties include teaching Generalist Social Work courses throughout the curriculum. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position with a negotiable supplemental summer administrative appointment.
Required Qualifications
Master's in Social Work from an accredited program.
LLMSW in the State of Michigan.
Two years of professional experience post-MSW.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
LMSW in the State of Michigan.
Five years of direct practice in a generalist social work setting.
Prior teaching experience in a BSW or MSW program and/or experience as a field/practicum instructor.
Familiarity with online instructional/learning platforms and documentation tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
