3rd shift Injection Molding Supervisor

Shift is from 9:30pm to 6am.

Describe the principal mission of the position

Support all necessary activities to fully implement Valeo Strategies, Processes, and the 5 Axes.

Authority and duty to stop production for Non-Quality.

Lead daily operations of his/her perimeter in molding APU such as continuous improvement, mold setting & debugging, star-up, processing, troubleshooting and problem solving in respect to the objectives assigned by the APU Manager. Responsibilities

Highlight the main responsibilities

Responsible for plastic part manufacturing according ot the specifications in order to meet the requirement of quality, cost and delivery time for the site.

Supervise a group of direct labor and production personnel in the production of a high quality, cost effective product; to maintain adequate production schedules and ensure shipment of product to the customer on time; to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations regarding Occupational Health and Safety.

Develop operator skills on line and in continuous improvement practices.

Performs periodic appraisals as well as annual job appraisals to recognize good performance and initiate corrective action plans for employees not meeting the Valeo standard level of performance. Responsible for facilitation and continuous monitoring of the improvement proposal system within the department.

Ensures the continuous support in helping solve problems identified by the team. Monitors and enforces operating standards.

Supervises production personnel and direct labor efforts to meet production schedules

Ensures the effective use of Client and materials to obtain daily requirements.

Administers company policies within the vested authority of the position (maintain morale and harmonious personnel relations, interpret and clarify rules, regulations and policies and ensure departmental compliance.

Involve in a global coordination to improve and define standards. People Management: YES þ NO

Professional Experience

5 years in injection molding in technical automotive parts

Knowledge of Industrial Plant operations

Strong interpersonal skills required

Computer skills

Additional training in leadership, visual management, 5's, Continuous Improvement,

Quality and Lean Manufacturing tools (PSG, SMED, JIT and SPC) preferred
