We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our legal team in Saint Louis, MO. This role is perfect for a mid-level associate with a strong background in employment and labor law, looking to advance their career by taking on significant responsibilities in case management and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend employment cases, with a preference for experience in class and collective wage and hour actions.
Conduct and defend depositions effectively.
Oversee written discovery processes.
Draft and argue motions proficiently.
Manage overall case proceedings from initiation to resolution.
Review and draft workplace policies, practices, and handbooks for employers with nationwide and international operations.
Engage with clients, maintaining a high level of responsibility and professionalism. Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school, with distinctions preferred.
Active bar admission in Missouri.
Minimum of four years of experience in employment and labor law, particularly on behalf of employers or corporations.
Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing workplace bylaws and other governing documents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superior analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Capability to commute to the office regularly.
