Physical Therapy Assistant

Futures is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Wellness Team.

Responsibilities:

Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.

Provide treatment, tests, patient education, and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Monitor, document, and report patient progress, responses, and performance.

Participate in the multidisciplinary care plan in collaboration with nursing and clinical teams.

Support patients with compassion, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards.

Maintain treatment areas and equipment while ensuring compliance with Florida practice guidelines.

Help patients attain or maintain independence, comfort, and dignity throughout their care journey. Qualifications:

Current licensure or certification as a PTA in the state of Florida.

Graduation from an APTA-approved two-year PTA program or two years of appropriate PTA experience with a passing U.S. Public Health Service proficiency exam (if initially qualified before Dec. 31, 1977).

Minimum one year of experience working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Strong communication skills, active listening, excellent assessment ability, and a calm, reassuring demeanor.

Commitment to delivering care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
