Position Description
Job Responsibilities:
Be the safety champion for the branch. Constantly reiterate the importance of working safely and thinking before acting.
Ensure all service and branch level work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
Apply all safety and compliance directives to all branch staff.
Develop a branch plan aligned with Flatiron pillars: growth, customer focus, operational excellence, & people.
Develop in collaboration with Regional President, functional leaders & branch team - a multi-year operating plan, broken into yearly increments.
Deliver the yearly plan - make the business better, make the team better.
Deliver P&L per the annual operating plan. Responsible for job profitability, while managing price, volume, mix, overhead costs, and expenses.
Manage branch level cash flow - AR (and past dues), AP, inventory, branch capex.
Check and adjust vs plan - identify shortfalls, develop, and execute corrective action plans.
Support and drive improvement in sales, service, and project management teams.
A strong collaborative working relationship with the engineering department will be critical to success.
The Branch Manager will have the authority to prioritize projects/engineering for the branch as needed.
Work with sales team to provide practical coaching at the pipeline and opportunity level.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
Support sales efforts with engagement ranging from review to full generation, as needed. Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or Engineering.
5 years of leadership experience and people management experience in a service related or industrial business.
In office requirement 4 days a week (11 Vanguard Drive Reading, PA 19606)
25% travel requirement
Experience in service-related sales or operations preferred however equivalent experience, education and training will be considered.
Proficient with computers including MS Office Suite.
Ability to learn and become proficient in accounting software programs.
Proven financial and operational knowledge.
Proven organizational and leadership skills.
Able to work independently and as a team.
