Operations & Maintenance Manager

Trillium Construction is now hiring for an O&M Manager in Fredrick, CO!

Our client is a small family owned company specializing in commercial and utility scale solar. They are hiring for an O&M Manager to help lead the O&M team with projects that they have scattered throughout Illinois. This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary of up to $130k plus benefits like M/V/D, 401k, PTO, per diem, and vehicle allowance. This job does require hefty travel in the beginning

Duties:

• Developing Operations and Maintenance protocols and procedures

• Managing reactive and preventative maintenance requests

• Managing Commissioning and Closeout process with Project Management team

• Responding to warranty claims

• Managing technicians time and training in safe work practices

• Work with business development to respond to O&M RFPs by assisting with estimates and proposals

• Develop standard rate structure for O&M work and respond to reactive maintenance requests

• Work with field crews to ensure adherence to project specific commissioning protocol and procedures

• Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting

• Review 3rd party testing reports and assist with technical coordination such as relay programing and commissioning

• Interface with asset owner’s and managers on O&M issues

• Work with operations team to build PM inspection schedule for active O&M work and EPC projects still under warranty

• Assisting construction teams with SEL and DAS commissioning and troubleshooting

• Investigating root cause of failures in warranty claims and reactive and preventative maintenance inspections and transfer knowledge to construction teams

Qualifications:

• Flexibility to travel to project locations (first 6 months or so is going to involve about 75% travel)

• Minimum 5 years of solar O&M and Commissioning experience

• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams

• Possesses necessary communication skills to professionally interface with subcontractors and clients

• Relay calibration, relay functional checks, AC testing, CT testing, and RTU (SCADA) programming.

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times

• Skilled in MSOffice and versed in ALSO Energy Powertrax and SEL Relay software

• Strong understanding of National Electric Code
