Assembler
Assembler Responsibilities:
Assemble trusses by accurately placing components on production tables and securing them with metal reinforcement plates using hammers and pneumatic tools
Verify dimensions of pre-cut parts and completed assemblies using rulers, gauges, and reference documentation
Ensure proper placement of stops and guides on production tables to maintain assembly accuracy
Apply appropriate tags, labels, and documentation to finished products
Operate and monitor roller conveyor lines and stackers to guide trusses safely through the production area
Assist in banding and securing finished trusses for shipment, verifying that bundles are stable and compliant with instructions
Move and position lumber carts according to production line needs and assist forklift operators during the off-loading process
Check and sign off on emergency stop functionality and safety checklists at the start of each shift
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, strictly following safety procedures and protocols
Review production paperwork to ensure correct sheathing, nailing, and banding specifications are met
Monitor workflow to prevent jams or misaligned products; adjust as needed
Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and off-load trusses and materials as required
Operate saws and related equipment to cut lumber to precise measurements for assembly
Requirements for Assembler:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, and production paperwork
Basic math skills with the ability to take accurate measurements
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment preferred
Physical ability to stand and walk to 8-10 hours and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds
Capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments across all seasons
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clean communication abilities
