Rehabilitation Technician

Salary: Up to $16.50 an hour (Based on Experience)

Rehabilitation Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Patient/Resident transportation to and from rehabilitation area

Therapy set-up and breakdown

Assisting therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.

Maintaining equipment and working area

Working as a team in setting up and preparing for group activities/therapy

Able to foster a positive and encouraging working environment for staff and patients/residents

Performing clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.

Reports directly to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation Technician Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills, required.

Rehabilitation Technician Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day.

Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.

Must be proficient with use of hands for repetitive grasping, pushing-pulling, and fine motor manipulation.

Rehab Technician will spend approximately 60-80% of time bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while working with therapy patients

Rehab Technician may spend approximately 60-80% of time standing/walking.

Rehab Technician should be knowledgeable in and exercise good body mechanics during patient treatment.

Candidate considering the of study Occupational, Physical therapy, Speech Language Pathology or students of kinesiology (or related fields) are strongly encouraged to apply.
