Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

Department: Sales

Reports To: Lifecycle Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary:

Responsible for selling Lifecycle systems, media, and products (parts, service, operations and rentals) through the achievement of opportunity-based order quotas. Also, responsible for revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with customers to understand their requirements in order to identify and purchase the right product.

Maintains thorough, up to date knowledge of the company's products and services to ensure a good fit between the customer's needs and Aftermarket products.

Negotiates sales through to an executed purchase order in line with the company's policies.

Achieves annual sales targets as established by VP Aftermarket

Acts as main point of contact for Aftermarket clients after system commissioning

Gathers sales data in order to make proactive sales calls

Provides prompt and courteous customer service

Works with prospects to fully understand their situation and requirements.

Answers questions and offers suggestions to prospects based on a thorough knowledge of product line

Assists customers with any relevant paperwork to complete the sale, including negotiation to a fully executed final purchase order

Maintains accurate and up to date information on all opportunities and customer contact details in the CRM.

Generates proposals on an as needed basis.

Sets up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.

Overcomes objections of prospective customers

Emphasizes product/service features and benefits, present quotations, establish commercial terms.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains up to date knowledge of competitor's products for comparison.

Attends periodic sales training where applicable.

Supports Newterra personnel as required for closing out customer issues such as field troubleshooting and payment.

Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position.

Completes all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra's Delegation of Authority.

Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra's safety policies and procedures. This includes reporting all safety concerns, near-misses and incidents to their Manager.

Adhere to the company processes as detailed in Newterra's Business Management System (BMS) and bring forward ideas for continuous improvement.

Responsible for completing all assigned training in the applicable timeframe. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering-related field or business required. Relevant experience will also be considered.

Minimum of (3) three years of experience in a sales capacity.

Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.

Proven ability in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.

Travel of up to 20% required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

MBA preferred.

Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

Excellent listening skills.

Strong written communication skills.

Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

High level of integrity and work ethic

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Complex thinking and analysis required.

Work Environment

Generally, works in office environment, however, may be required to visit production sites and exposed to outdoor elements.
