About the Role:

Freedom Foundation is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its national team focused on public-sector labor reform. This attorney will lead and support high-impact litigation efforts aimed at protecting workers' rights and limiting the influence of government unions.

Reporting to the Chief Litigation Counsel, this role involves both strategic legal work and hands-on litigation across First Amendment, administrative, civil rights, and open government issues. The Foundation prefers candidates based in Olympia, WA or Dallas, TX, but may consider other locations for exceptional talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support litigation in federal/state courts and administrative agencies to challenge violations of workers' rights

Draft legal opinions, briefs, analyses, articles, memos, and blog posts

Collaborate with internal teams to advance labor reform and legal strategy

Communicate legal efforts to supporters, media, and the public

Advise staff on legal matters tied to outreach and messaging

Build relationships with allied legal groups and external attorneys

Represent the Foundation at public events and speaking engagements Qualifications:

5+ years of intensive litigation experience strongly preferred

Licensed to practice in at least one state where the Foundation operates

Strong legal research and writing skills

Demonstrated alignment with the Foundation's mission and values

Comfortable managing an independent caseload while working collaboratively

Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven team
