Game Managers in Training
The Athletic and Fitness Center is seeking a responsible individual with an interest in athletics and event operations to assist with game day management for Chatham University's sports. The ideal candidate must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position includes, but is not limited to, operating scoreboards, learning in-game recordkeeping, and assisting with various event operations, as well as other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities in the Position:
Attention to detail is imperative.
Work the clock at sports such as soccer, volleyball, and hockey.
Willingness to learn and perform essential in-game skills such as the book in basketball.
Ability to be trained in skilled positions such as line judge in volleyball and scoresheet in hockey.
Adhering to a dress code that includes khaki, or khaki material pants and an AFC issued shirt.
Assist the game supervisor in any other capacity.
Completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor for this position.
Student staff must participate in online and in person training sessions provided by the Career Development Office. The position is in-person and hours vary per week depending on availability in relation to building hours. Nights and weekends are required. You will be asked to meet in person at least once per semester. There is a dress code/uniform that will be required for this position.
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
