Aquatech needs a full-time summer intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Safety Intern will report to the Safety Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

Actively pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or a related field. Job Description:

Perform inspections and create inventory on safety related equipment (such as fall protection devices).

Update safety data sheets (SDSs) throughout Canonsburg, PA shop, lab, and offices.

Create weekly toolbox talks for shop and lab employees.

Perform inspections and hazard assessments to identify risk to employees.

Propose corrective actions to reduce risk.

Other projects or assignments as deemed necessary. Skill Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Ability to learn and expand knowledge on unfamiliar topics.

Ability to think critically and propose ideas to solve problems.

Ability to create and maintain files in Microsoft Word and Excel. Essential Functions:
