We are currently seeking a committed Bilingual Instructional Assistant IIIto join the Lee Elementary team. This is a full-time (6.5 hrs per day), temporary position. Bilingualism in English and Spanish is required for this position, as are 72 college level credits or successful completion of a paraprofessional certification.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree or a minimum of 72 college/university quarter credits (Required)
Certification as a highly qualified paraprofessional may be substituted for the education requirement
Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
Minimum of one year of experience working with children or youth in an educational, childcare, or community setting (Preferred)
Experience in interpretation and/or translation in an educational or professional setting
Fluency in English and Spanish as demonstrated by completion of the district's bilingual assessment. To be considered fluent, applicants must receive a minimum score of Level 6 on the ACTFL verbal assessment and a minimum score of 18 on the district's written assessment. Why Choose Canby?
