The Architectural Designer is directly involved in the design phases of all Rural King projects. This includes but is not limited to corporate design, store layouts, and assistance with preparing bid packages for the construction team. The Project Architect will constantly look for ways to improve design flow and value engineering to maximize profitability, ensuring the field teams are provided with tools to successfully complete projects.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage the design of home region development projects

Support the design and development of new store layouts

Analyze building methods to determine viability for future RKR projects

Assist with LOD's and tenant improvement documents and ensure plans are in accordance.

Assist Engineers and Architects to develop Rural King and tenants build out plans.

Communicate with internal clients to gather requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback.

Oversee design quality throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to design intent

Conduct site visits to assess conditions, provide design guidance, and ensure alignment with project plans

Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and designers to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the design

Recommend appropriate building materials that enhance functionality, aesthetics, and durability

Partner with city officials to obtain building permits at local and state levels

Ensure designs are feasible within project budgets and timelines

Assist in the assembly of bid packages for general contractors and subcontractors.

May be required to cross train and perform other duties MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ year's architectural / design experience

Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering preferred

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software

Knowledge of building code requirements including but not limited to IBC, ADA, NEC, NFPA, etc.

Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing and controlling workflow and processes

Ability to use discretion and independent judgment in making decisions

Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.

Ability to work independently without supervision

Flexibility with hours: ability to work varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business needs dictate PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Good visual acuity and ability to communicate

Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds.

Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

The pay range for this position is $85.000 - $110,000 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. To learn more about our benefits, review here
