Job Summary: Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly production workforce in conjunction with front-line supervisors. Manages plant production and collaborates with maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in satisfactory condition. Controls plant costs through effective planning and management. With assistance from Corporate Engineering, ensures development and execution of production activities as outlined in the operation plan. Assures training, implementation, and maintenance of quality, health, safety, and environmental programs. Assists the Plant Manager with development and execution of capital and annual budget plans. Performs administrative duties required to meet job goals, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting. Helps day-to-day operations by working with all levels of staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly workforce to meet or exceed all safety, operational, and quality goals.
Ensures stationary and mobile equipment is operated properly in accordance with best practices.
Long-term planning including projects, process development, budgeting, and operational schedules.
Training and maintenance of quality, safety, environmental, and health programs including audit and development activities.
Plans and schedules operations in conjunction with maintenance to meet sales requirements.
Performs additional duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering, or experience in operations supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and Word.
Solid background in operations planning programs like JD Edwards.
Engineering in a manufacturing background preferred, or equivalent experience as an Operations Supervisor in a similar field.
Must be able to handle several tasks at one time and work well with a variety of personalities in an effort to achieve continuous improvement. NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
