Description:

Are you a student or aspiring videographer looking to build your portfolio while making a real impact? Join our creative team as a Volunteer Video Editor and help bring the magic of music to life!

About Us:

Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities (YEAH!) is a nonprofit in Nashville, TN that further empowers youth ages 6-17 through music education. Our programs value collaboration over competition and foster creativity, confidence, and community through the power of music.

We’ve captured tons of raw video footage from our events and rehearsals and now we need someone like you to turn those storytelling moments into engaging content.

What You’ll Do:

Review and organize raw video footage from our music programs

Edit short-form videos for social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts)

Create a few high-quality promotional reels (sizzle reels) for the organization

Collaborate with our team to shape the tone and style of the content

Help us tell our story in a way that’s fun, authentic, and emotionally resonant

Ideal For:

Film, media, communications, or digital arts students seeking course-related experience

Aspiring editors looking to build a diverse and meaningful portfolio

Creatives who love music, storytelling, and working with youth-centered content

Skills We’re Looking For:

Basic to intermediate video editing skills

Ability to organize and sift through large volumes of video files

A good eye for storytelling, youth empowerment, rhythm, and what resonates on social media

Bonus: motion graphics, audio cleanup, or color grading experience

What You’ll Gain:

Real-world editing experience for a purpose-driven nonprofit

Portfolio-quality projects with credit

A chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young musicians

Flexible hours and a supportive, creative environment

This is an unpaid volunteer/internship position, but we’re happy to work with your school to provide course credit or documentation for internship requirements.
