Project Architect

A Project Architect for new construction and tenant improvement projects. Manages the entire lifecycle of an interior build-out, from schematic design to construction administration, ensuring design intent is met, project objectives are achieved, and client needs are fulfilled. Key responsibilities include developing and managing construction documents, coordinating with consultants and contractors, overseeing project teams, and serving as the main point of contact for clients and permitting agencies. Strong skills in architectural software (like Revit), project management, and client communication are essential for success in this senior-level role.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation: Lead the architectural design process and manage the development of construction documents (drawings and specifications).

Project Management: Oversee the budget, schedule, and timeline for new construction and tenant improvement projects, ensuring quality and adherence to design standards.

Team Leadership: Direct and mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineering consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.

Client & Consultant Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, presentations, and jurisdictional reviews, ensuring seamless communication.

Quality Assurance: Review drawings, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and maintain quality standards throughout the project.

Construction Administration: Manage construction administration tasks, including site visits and responding to contractor questions to ensure the design intent is carried through. Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

Experience: 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Architect, with significant experience in commercial, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or office tenant improvements.

Software Proficiency: High proficiency in architectural design software, especially Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.

Licensure: An architectural license (such as NCARB certification or a state license) is preferred but not required.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, and project teams.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are crucial for managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
