We are seeking a dedicated Associate Clinical Informaticist to enhance healthcare quality and efficiency through innovative technology solutions. This role focuses on improving patient safety, healthcare delivery, and quality reporting by bridging the gap between clinical teams and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary expert on clinical workflows and electronic medical record (EMR) functionality at the site level.
Collaborate with providers and clinicians to implement new systems and process improvements that support positive health outcomes.
Communicate EMR updates and educational opportunities to clinical staff.
Coordinate EMR optimization efforts with department leaders and act as a champion for provider and clinician needs.
Submit and manage security and service requests related to EMR access and functionality.
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and workflow challenges.
Analyze clinical data to identify trends and support reporting requests.
Review existing systems and workflows to recommend enhancements.
Serve as a liaison between the organization and corporate informatics teams.
Educate staff on new implementations and act as an escalation point for clinical teams. Education
A bachelor's degree in nursing, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of clinical or relevant experience is required. Previous experience with data systems is advantageous.
Requirements
Certification in Health Informatics (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) is a plus.
Completion of a Mandatory Reporter course within six months of hire is required.
Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
