The Athletic Trainer is primarily responsible for injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and education/counseling of athletes. This individual will work very closely with high schools and school events.
Some major responsibilities include:
-Visit assigned high school as directed
-Participate in community event coverage as necessary
-Maintain and continue to expand the outreach program to area high schools
-Be an educational resource for athletes, coaches and school staff
-Evaluation/treatment and referral of athletic injuries as necessary
- Will assist with special program development
Education Required: Meet the college educational requirements of Board of Certification
Related Years of Experience Required: Two years experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Credential/Licensure Required:
Licensed in the State of Wisconsin as an Athletic Trainer
Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Meet the requirements for certification and passed the certification examination as established by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
To Apply: Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
CPR certified, Wisconsin Driver's license.
Shift: Working Casual Call, meaning you would work as needed.
Casual Call gets paid an additional 10% differential for hours worked.
