Role Summary
Advances domestic violence policy efforts, advocacy campaigns, and legislative engagement to support survivor safety and systemic change.
Key Responsibilities
Research DV-related legislation and policy updates
Assist in drafting advocacy letters, briefs, and position statements
Support civic education workshops for survivors
Help organize advocacy days, civic partnerships, and town halls
Track policy trends impacting survivors in Illinois and nationally
Qualifications
Experience in policy, advocacy, government, or civic engagement
Strong writing and research skills
Trauma-informed understanding of survivor rights and safety
Ability to maintain professional neutrality and confidentiality
