Schedule Details/Additional Information:

$10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available. An additional $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus for evening shifts at ASLMC!

About the Role: Join our amazing Operating Room Team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin known for its 24/7 heart-care team and innovative patient care. Your skills and attention to detail can make a real impact in the operating room.

Major Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques during surgical procedures.

Assist with various surgical cases while demonstrating knowledge of procedures and equipment.

Ensure operating room safety and efficiency by managing the setup and takedown of equipment.

Act as a Second Assistant when required and maintain communication with the surgical team.

Transport patients and manage equipment logistics as needed.

Complete specialty carts, ensuring they are stocked and functional.

Provide keen awareness of patient age-specific needs and adapt care accordingly!

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association to be obtained within six months, unless otherwise specified.

Education Required:

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience:

No previous surgical experience necessary; we value your enthusiasm and commitment!

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room protocols.

Familiarity with surgical equipment and instruments.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Basic computer skills are essential.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Lift, carry, push, and pull various weights as required for the job.

Regular exposure to different hazards; protective gear will be provided.

Must possess functional sight and hearing abilities.
