Major/Essential Functions:

Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals

Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals

Diagnose and treat adults with neurological conditions, to include interpretation of routine EEGs, ICU and epilepsy video EEG monitoring, intraoperative monitoring, and evoked potentials.

Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures

Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work

Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Fellowship training in Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology or a combination from an accredited program in the United States

Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for associate professor or higher level

Certification and/or experience in Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology
