Description
This is a full-time, direct placement for a local mechanical contractor.
Position Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Manager to lead our service department. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations, manage a team of technicians, ensure excellent customer service, and drive efficiency and profitability within the department.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise HVAC service technicians, dispatchers, and support staff
Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and workflow to ensure timely service delivery
Provide technical support and training to service technicians
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service
Monitor department performance, budgets, and profitability
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring new technicians Requirements
5+ years of experience in HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Excellent problem solving, customer service and communication/interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft software products and general computer skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of Service staff
Must have a good technical understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders.
Able to walk construction job sites.
