Part Time Law Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in case research and preparation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the legal field while contributing to important cases and projects. The focus for this position will be civil litigation but could extend into other areas of law as needed.

Duties

• Conduct thorough document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

• Perform legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.

• Analyze case law and statutes relevant to ongoing litigation.

• Collaborate with attorneys on case management, including organizing files and maintaining records.

• Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents including memos, briefs, and other written materials as required by the legal team.

• Attend court proceedings or client meetings as needed to assist attorneys.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law school preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw is highly desirable.

• Excellent writing skills with attention to detail for drafting legal documents.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
