Primary Role

Assists the maintenance person and Relief Plant Operator.

Key Accountabilities

Assists the maintenance person or performs the following duties: maintenance on motors, pumps, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, mixing and sedimentation basin equipment, filters, intakes, wells, valves, control/monitoring equipment, building, grounds, and other related equipment.

Operates water treatment facilities, pumping facilities and other related facilities.

Operates all pumps, motors, screens, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, settling tanks, control systems, laboratory equipment, and valves.

Makes water treatment control tests and calculations necessary to control the water treatment and pumpage of the facility.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge/Skills

Must have a working knowledge of all tools used in maintaining all related plant equipment.

Since this classification also has operating duties, must have a working knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and hydraulics.

Experience/Education

GED/High School Diploma

The shift for this position is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30a-3:30p.
