Job Title: Enhancement Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Director
The Enhancement Manager (EM) schedules and directs personnel and resources towards
providing quality, cost-effective enhancement services for clients. EMs support the Account
Manager(s) in estimating, design and client meetings as needed. Work may involve reviewing
contracts to ascertain service, machine, and workforce requirements; answering inquiries from
potential customers regarding methods, material, and price ranges; and preparing estimates
according to labor, material, and machine costs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Understanding client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager(s)
• Managing all landscape enhancement services, including the coordination of all
materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work
• Daily communication with the service crews to review specific client needs and property
details.
• Hands-on training and supporting of crew members, including proper operation of
equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintaining and managing all required administrative systems, including but not limited
to time approvals in Aspire, job databases, and service schedules.
• Ordering materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and
contract requirements.
• Schedule work for enhancement crews, depending on work priorities, crew or
equipment availability, or weather conditions.
• Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met,
and schedules are maintained.
• Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs.
Monitor by reviewing job costs regularly. Communicate job cost information to
installation crew leaders & managers on a regular basis to control hours and costs.
• Oversee and coordinate all tree & plant material purchases for the company. This
includes the Design/Build and Commercial Construction departments.
• Orders should be delivered/received as close as possible to anticipated planting dates to
avoid stress of plants/trees that may be held for too long.
• Network and maintain relationships with nursey stock growers to keep Angelo's in good
position for availability and competitive pricing of materials.
• Ensure purchase order numbers are properly included on all orders and approve
invoices for all plant & tree purchases made.
• Help to maintain a facility that reflects our professional image and provides a safe,
comfortable environment for all employees and visitors.
• Inspect delivered plant materials for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Organize & maintain stored plants and trees inspecting for signs of insects and/or
disease and overall health and ensure proper treatments as needed.
• Document all client interactions in Aspire software.
Required Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of plant materials, growth habits, and overall plant health.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Valid Drivers License
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strategic planning in logistics when organizing field crews and the delivery of materials
to a work site on schedule.
• Technology-savvy and ability to learn software with ease. (Knowledge of Aspire is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a flexible environment.
• Must be a self-starter and be self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
Education and Experience:
• College degree in a green industry related field (i.e., Horticulture, Agronomy, Landscape
Architecture)
• 3+ years of prior management, design, customer service, production, or leadership experience.
