Job Summary: Provide essential support to nursing practices and patient care delivery through a blend of direct assistance, communication, client care support, and clerical duties. Essential Responsibilities:
Fiscal Responsibility:
- Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Manage transportation duties and promptly report any equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, restock supplies, and assist with operating room turnover.
- Adhere to staffing and scheduling policies, including timely communication regarding shift availability and schedule changes.
Quality:
- Collaborate as a team member in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Apply sound judgment in caring for patients considering their age and diagnosis.
- Suggest improvements to enhance patient experience and service.
- Stay current with relevant policies and procedures.
Patient Satisfaction:
- Advocate for patient rights and promote a positive care model.
- Enhance patient comfort by providing necessary items and clear instructions to reduce anxiety.
- Communicate effectively to improve patient care satisfaction.
Patient Safety:
- Ensure all patient documentation is complete and accurate before transport.
- Safely transport surgical patients within the facility, verifying identity and special needs.
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers and communicate any changes or delays.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and respond appropriately to emergencies.

- Recognize personal limitations and seek assistance or training as needed.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and participate in orientation and cross-training.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with computer skills required.
- Area-specific education may be required and maintained upon hire.
Work Shift: First shift, full-time, 40 hours per week.
