Essential Responsibilities:
Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently manage supplies and equipment, complete tasks promptly, adhere to shift schedules, and support unit goals to reduce waste.
Quality: Document accurately according to unit standards, stay current with policies, problem-solve, multitask within scope, and contribute ideas to improve workflow and patient experience.
Patient Satisfaction: Foster positive patient interactions, respond promptly to needs, maintain professionalism with electronic device use, and perform purposeful rounding to enhance guest relations.
Patient Safety: Practice safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers for all tasks, report unusual occurrences, tailor care routines as assigned, and comply with HIPAA and social media policies.
Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, demonstrate leadership, participate in councils, serve as a resource and preceptor, identify learning needs, and engage in departmental goal development and training.
Customer Service: Engage patients and families with professionalism, maintain a quiet environment, be flexible with assignments and staffing, practice AIDET communication, and promote teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Candidates with a CNA license and 5+ years of experience may substitute for diploma or GED. Basic BLS certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
This position operates on the third shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, offering approximately 30 scheduled weekly hours.
