This is a part time, in-person position; employment is on a term-by-term basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Teach undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise
Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets program standards
Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments
Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records as required within established course deadlines.
Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data
Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum
Advise students on how to be successful and achieve goals
Stay updated on innovations and changes within the course field
Participate in professional development activities
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned
Adhere to Early College standards and policies REPORTS TO
Campus Principal & Dean of Early College
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.
Instructors must have:
a Master's or Ph.D. in the relevant academic field
a passion for innovative education and a commitment to a diverse group of learners
advanced organizational skills
the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students
have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders
