Position: School Crossing Guard
Job Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Ability to communicate with children and adults Job Description:
Responsible for the safety of school children crossing major roadways at designated areas in the district.
Guarantee of 4 hours per day (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon) Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist students in crossing assigned roadway's safely
Maintain discipline at the crossing site in a positive, caring manner
Maintain a courteous attitude with the motorists at assigned crossing site(s)
Report accidents and/or injuries immediately to the transportation supervisor
Responsible for wearing and maintaining the regulation reflective vest
Responsible for placement of traffic cones/stop signs at assigned roadway crossings

Other Information:
The district contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
