Position Summary

Provides Quality Engineering support and coordinates quality activities of workers engaged in inspecting the final quality of components and finished products for assigned program. Lead team with training matrix reviews, helps coordinate customer actions and root cause analysis. Develops and reviews program quality plans and helps lower-level QE's on determining customer requirements.

Skills and Responsibilities

Provides direct Quality Engineering support to assigned programs. Plans and executes innovative, problem and defect prevention/process improvement methods.

Applies statistics to problem solving and reports.

Applies knowledge of military and other technical specifications to prevent, correct and resolve quality related problems with suppliers of purchased materials, customer and/or government supplied materials.

Coordinates Quality Management System (QMS) related functions, relays instruction regarding use of inspection methods, quality tools, (FMEA, process mapping, Root Cause analysis, SPC, and Inspection equipment use.

Prepares plans, executes projects, and delivers reports for quality engineering projects which are required for proper implementation and incorporation of quality into related programs.

Receives and reviews technical data for assigned programs, prepares and maintains necessary documentation to support the QMS.

Responsible for all First Article Testing and product inspection for supplied parts and ammunition items in assigned programs

Prepares required reports and assures appropriate supporting records are maintained. And any additional duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS), Quality, Technical or Engineering field required.

Experience: 5+ years related experience required.

Licenses/Certifications: ASQ, CQE or CQA certification preferred.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $80,640 to $120,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements
