Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience Requirements
Required: Minimum 4 years of experience in statistical programming or statistical interpretation.
Preferred:
5 years of experience in statistical practices, software development, and relational databases (may be concurrent).
Experience with Medicare data, claims analysis, or federal healthcare reporting. Technical Skills
Required Software: Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Software/Tools:
SAS and/or Python for statistical programming.
Databricks and SQL for data management and analysis.
Exposure to data visualization, dashboarding, and data modeling tools is highly desirable. About the Role
Member of the Medicare Statistical Analysis Department, responsible for analyzing and reporting JJ/JM Part A/B and RRB claims data.
Perform monthly data integrity reviews, ensuring accurate and complete data warehouse table loads.
Run standardized and ad hoc statistical reports and deliver insights to internal stakeholders and CMS.
Focus on reporting and data-driven insights (not software development or IT/networking).
Use programming for mathematical computations, statistical modeling, and report generation.
Transitioning from SAS to Python by 2026, expanding capabilities in data visualization, dashboarding, and predictive modeling. Soft Skills & Attributes
