Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be a critical member of the plant operations team, ensuring the highest manufacturing standards. This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role focused on monitoring, analyzing, and improving production processes. You will collaborate closely with production teams to resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Using proven problem-solving methodologies, you will drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and enhance overall product reliability.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) for non-conformances and customer complaints.
Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process efficiency.
Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols.
Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to identify and mitigate quality risks.
Support new product introductions by validating quality requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Train production personnel on quality best practices, including defect prevention and problem-solving techniques.
Apply statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC) to improve manufacturing quality.
Maintain accurate records and reports on quality metrics, defects, and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASHRAE, and other relevant industry and regulatory standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or industrial equipment production; or strong co-op/internship experience in manufacturing.
Proficiency in problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, RCCA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 compliance.
Familiarity with measurement tools, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as welding, brazing, assembly, and testing.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-the-floor manufacturing environment. #JDP
