Basic Job Functions:

Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX® brand for the construction market, TRUFAST® for the commercial roofing industry and TRUFASTWalls® for exterior building envelopes and facades. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance procedures and helping troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical or electrical problems should they arise with the manufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems in the facility. They are also responsible for installation, fabrication, and advanced trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.

Starting wage $23.10 plus shift premium and incentives Essential Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair

Installation maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment

May fabricate machine guards, install, or repair conveyors, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment repair electro-mechanical equipment

Preform advanced troubleshooting, work with general supervision may provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.

Under limited supervision and with minimal to no technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair.

Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.

Have PM interaction and knowledge.

Have a valid driver's license and clean record. Position Requirements

Experience:

Previous maintenance experience required Education:

High school diploma or GED required

Industrial Maintenance Certificate or related field Required Skills/Competencies:

General computer skills

Good work history and extremely good attendance - dependable

Good hand-eye coordination

Ability to attain a license and operate a forklift

Cleanliness and detail oriented

Good safety practices

Be able to read/use rulers, micrometers, and calipers

Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure

Ability to understand and use math functions (i.e.: add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Positive attitude and effective communicator

Compliance to company policy

Must be able to read blueprints

Knowledge of ISO procedures-relevant to department

Clock in and out of SAP and time keeping system

Mechanical Requirements

Requires 4+ years of technical training and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent.

Ability to use machine tools (i.e.: drills grinders, welders, mills, lathes)

Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot situations

May occasionally make replacement parts.

Specific skills include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics machining, welding, and electrical. Electrical Requirements

Replaces fuses and sets circuit breakers on high and low-tension circuits.

Diagnoses electrical trouble.

Must be able to read blueprints, pneumatics, and electrical schematics.

Test circuits with testing equipment and reports readings.

Replacing lights and fuses; and minor troubleshooting

Ability to work from simple wiring diagrams.

Preforms wiring of ordinary light circuits, setting circuit breakers, repairing switches small motors, and simple starting and control devices.

Understand PLC programming (Omron, Siemens, Allen Bradley)

Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, and to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop or lift up to 100 pounds. This employee will be required to climb a ladder or use a scissor lift and or boom lift.
