Position Description

The Constituent Services Team functions as a single point of contact for residents of Precinct One, addressing inquiries, concerns, requests, compliments, and feedback. Team members document each interaction, make referrals to relevant departments, track progress, share status updates with constituents, and report outcomes so the division can analyze trend data and improve service delivery. Additionally, staff build and maintain a directory of community resources and gauge constituent satisfaction to inform the precincts mission.

There are four precincts in Harris County. The elected commissioners and county judge serve on the Harris County Commissioners Court, the administrative head of the countys government.

Position Summary

The successful candidate works directly with community members to resolve issues and recommends improvements based on outcome reports. Responsibilities include acting as the communitys point of contact, tracking and responding to correspondence, meeting constituents via phone or in person, providing follow?up, identifying trends, liaising with federal, state, and local agencies, and performing case management through tracking and reporting on outstanding cases.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of experience in constituent services, case management, community engagement, or outreach (education may substitute for some experience).

Language

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Knowledge of community engagement methods.

Ability to initiate conversations with stakeholders to identify important matters.

Strong relationship?building skills with Precinct One employees and constituents.

Organizational and prioritization abilities.

Multitasking, independent work, and rapid change of priorities.

Comfortable using database, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.

Analytical skills to evaluate trends and propose improvements.

Case?management experience, including tracking and reporting all case stages.

Preferences

Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
