Description
BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction clinicals; and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned.
Clinical instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on a semester by semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the Dental Hygiene program.
We are seeking adjuncts to teach sections in the following disciplines: Dental Hygiene. Adjunct positions are part-time, non-benefit eligible, and determined on a semester by semester basis. The standard rate of pay for three hour credit courses is $1,980 per semester.
Examples of Duties
Instruction and supervision for first and second year students in clinical settings Application of and adherence to clinical evaluation systems
Clinical student advising
Participation in faculty meetings, calibration sessions and teaching methodology workshops Providing input on curriculum management
Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum
Associate Degree with two years of full-time clinical experience WV Dental Hygiene Licensure
Ability to work professionally and ethically in a multitasking environment using multiple software programs related to patient care and student evaluation
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and excellence in dental hygiene practice
