This position is a part-time faculty role in the networking domain supporting students enrolled in the dual degree program at the DeVry University Advantage Academy. This innovative two-year program is designed for students entering their junior year where they graduate with both a Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high school diploma and an associate degree from DeVry University.
Responsibilities
Course delivery twice a week for eight weeks to dual degree students on-site at Chicago campus during the daytime.
Provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template which includes the terminal course objectives.
Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Master's Degree in networking or related domain/field (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching)
Three to five years of practiced experience in the field of networking or related domain/field
Two to five years previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Domain related certifications *Please upload a copy of your unofficial transcripts graduate level and above
Pay:
Visiting Professor pay is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. In addition, DeVry University does not guarantee any specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University's needs and discretion.
Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session
Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour * We accept applications for this role on an ongoing basis.
