The Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the local branch to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Full-time hours may vary.
Travel may be required.
Location: Augusta, Ga
Salary range is based on experience. Responsibilities
Hires and trains new employees.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
Oversees the shipping and receiving functions.
Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization's operations manual and policies.
Performs other related duties as required Candidate requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience required
Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred.
Five years of related experience required.
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.
Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel, reach with both hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, climb, balance, or crouch.
You may also be required to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, rarely lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in typical office environment.
May require visits to customer sites with exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards, chemicals, or physical risk, which require following basic safety precautions.
Must have the ability to work independently, be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have excellent telephone and customer service skills.
Successful candidates must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and have an acceptable 3-year Motor Vehicle Report as may be required by current company policy. Benefits
