As a Maintenance Supervisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities in overall plant and facilities maintenance. Additional duties will also include but are not limited to working with the company computer system and preventative maintenance programs. Roles and Responsibilities
Understands safety and production goals and implements actions necessary to meet objectives
Provides leadership to direct reports; coaches and counsels employees
Facilitates problem solving and team building activities
Understands quality goals and implement actions necessary to meet goals and ISO 9000 standards
Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low
Repair and maintain plant equipment in an efficient manner on a daily basis including processing equipment, material handling equipment, overhead cranes & building repairs
Training & supervision of operators on daily maintenance tasks for equipment
Ability to react to unscheduled breakdowns with urgency, helping to eliminate machine downtime
Comply to maintenance schedule & completion of preventative maintenance programs

Requirements
A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience
Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing facility, preferably steel processing
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of OSHA requirements regarding equipment
Proficient with PLC's, electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulics, & blue prints
The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in SAP as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in SAP is essential
