Join our incredible operating room team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, renowned for its expert and compassionate care. Your skills and meticulous attention to detail make a considerable impact on patient lives.

Schedule: Full-time evening shifts (8 or 10 hours) with call, primarily overnight. Expect to cover approximately 5-8 call slots and 1-2 weekend slots in an 8-week period, with the requirement to arrive within 30 minutes for call.

Major Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and safe environment for optimal patient care, employing aseptic techniques.

Prepare and assist with surgical procedures, ensuring the sterile field is upheld.

Set up the operating room for various cases and handle equipment with precision.

Act as a Second Assistant as needed during surgeries.

Notify staff of any equipment or supply issues.

Transport patients and equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.

Manage specialty carts and equipment to guarantee readiness for use.

Exhibit knowledge of growth and development across age groups, tailoring care to meet patients' needs.

Licensure/Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.

Education Required: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience: None required, though familiarity with surgical settings is advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Basic computer skills for operational and administrative tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to manage a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Physical strength to lift, push, and transport patients and equipment safely.

Capacity to wear protective gear consistently.
