Job Summary

The Title Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the title and escrow departments to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of residential and commercial real estate transactions. This role manages staff performance, workflow efficiency, and regulatory adherence, while maintaining strong relationships with lenders, underwriters, and other key stakeholders.

The Operations Manager will drive consistency, scalability, and service excellence across multiple markets, supporting growth objectives and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Management

Oversee title production, examination, and escrow processes from order entry through post-closing.

Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures, service level agreements (SLAs), and quality control measures.

Monitor daily workload distribution to ensure deadlines are met and transactions are processed accurately.

Manage vendor relationships, including abstractors, notaries, and underwriters.

Ensure adherence to ALTA Best Practices, RESPA, and state regulatory requirements. Leadership & Team Development

Supervise, train, and mentor title and escrow staff across multiple locations or regions.

Conduct performance reviews and establish measurable productivity goals.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer service excellence. Client & Lender Relations

Resolve complex title and escrow issues and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Support lender integration projects, technology implementations, and data reporting initiatives. Strategic Planning & Reporting

Identify process improvement opportunities and implement technology-driven efficiencies.

Develop and manage departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance dashboards.

Support expansion initiatives into new states or markets by aligning operational capabilities with business growth plans.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Position Requirements

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in title and escrow operations, including at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.

Proven track record managing multi-state title operations and lender relationships.

Experience working within national title agency environment preferred Functional/Technical Skills

Deep knowledge of title insurance underwriting, escrow settlement procedures, and state-specific regulations.

Familiarity with ALTA Best Practices, CFPB guidelines, and RESPA/TILA requirements.

Proficiency in title production systems (e.g., AtClose, ResWare, SoftPro, RamQuest, Qualia) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Familliarity with national underwriter compliance standards preferred.
