Position Overview

As a Paramedic, you will provide immediate medical care to patients experiencing accidents, violence, or sudden illnesses. You will deliver advanced life support from the initial contact until the patient's care is transitioned to a receiving medical facility. Key Responsibilities:

Represent the ambulance service during public events and provide standby services as needed.

Document patient assessments and treatments accurately using electronic record systems.

Offer medical care and support in psychiatric, medical, and traumatic crises.

Work collaboratively as a member of a two-person ambulance crew responding to emergencies.

Operate advanced medical equipment, including defibrillators and ECGs.

Assess patients to determine the appropriate medical response and prioritize care.

Respond to dispatch instructions and drive emergency vehicles safely.

Administer medications as directed by a physician.

Engage with other medical professionals to coordinate treatment plans.

Maintain cleanliness and safety in the ambulance after patient transport. Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED.

Ability to assess and meet the needs of patients and their families.

Proficient in documenting medical information electronically.

Competence in caring for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric patients.

Knowledge of infection control and safety practices.

Capability to implement advanced medical knowledge and perform life-saving interventions.

Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, EMSVO, and EMT-P License or NREMT-Paramedic.

Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree.

Two years of experience in advanced life support services.

One year of pre-hospital paramedic experience. Physical Requirements:

This role involves lifting over 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 140 lbs, and carrying 80 lbs over short distances. Frequent activities include standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
