Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care settings. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, demonstrating your nursing expertise while meeting the unique needs of residents.

As an LPN, your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents

Contributing to the assessment and care planning for residents

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

Documenting care and interactions accurately

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents and healthcare professionals

Communicating clearly and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Counseling residents and family members on care plans

Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program

Preferred: Associate degree in practical nursing

Must have completed IV therapy training if required for your position

Experience: minimum 400 hours as LPN, or completed supervised clinical experience

Current, unencumbered LPN license in North Dakota or multi-state licensure

Commitment to completing required training and continuing education units
