Hourly Rate 24.13 +5.09 WD Rate

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 40 weekly

Summary of Position

The CLS Course Instructor is a full-time, wage determination position directly responsible to the Director, Military Skills Enhancement Program whose overall duties and responsibilities are to teach, update and maintain the Combat Life Saver Course at Fort Hood Troop School and at other Army installations. Conduct special courses or briefings as required by government contract.

Minimum Required Education

Two years college(60 credits) from a US regionally accredited institution of higher education required.

Minimum Required Experience

Five years military service with a minimum of two years of experience in grade of Senior NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer and held the MOS of 68W OR is a licensed paramedic (State of national), registered nurse physician assistant or physician.

One year experience as an instructor within the past 10 years prior to employment is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows 7, 10 and 13.

Must be proficient with Adobe Acrobat/Reader and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must have understanding of computer and printer networking to include knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques.

Must be able to pass and maintain BLS certification course with at least one year experience working with or teaching emergency medical techniques and skills procedures.

Must have experience working as a medic (68W) or similar medical position with an in depth knowledge of full spectrum operations, regulatory requirements and emergency medicine

Must be able to pass a back ground investigation or National Agency Check ( NAC ) in order to fulfill contractual obligations.
