Inventory Control Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Inventory Control Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our storeroom, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution of materials and supplies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that materials and supplies are available as needed to support production and maintenance activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking supply usage, and managing vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the storeroom, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution of materials and supplies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that materials and supplies are available as needed to support production and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking supply usage, and managing inventory levels to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that materials and supplies are procured at the best possible prices and within established lead times.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Develop and maintain storeroom documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Conduct training and provide guidance to storeroom staff to ensure adherence to established inventory management procedures.
Stay up to date with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to inventory management and procurement.
Collaborate with other managers, engineers, and operations staff to ensure successful storeroom operations. Required:
4+ years of experience in inventory management and procurement, including experience with inventory management software.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including experience with forecasting and demand planning.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address inventory management issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus. Special Soft Skills Needed:
