The Tulane Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Downtown New Orleans is recruiting for a Research Instructor which is a faculty position.

The Instructor's responsibility will aim to enhance the research programs on cancer mechanisms, tumor and cancer biology, and translational cancer research including tumor initiation and progression, tumor microenvironment, cancer stem cell biology, genome instability, epigenetic, non-coding RNAs, anti-cancer drug discovery, and structural biology in this department. These research areas complement the existing research programs in the department and at the Tulane Cancer Center.

The candidate will be expected to design and perform experiments, tabulate and record experimental data, and analyze and interpret experimental results using genetic, genomic, biochemical and molecular methods to investigate basic biological questions in development and Drosophila tumor models. In addition, the candidate will work with the PI to submit manuscripts and grant applications and to mentor junior lab members.

Qualifications

Must have a PhD with a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral work in Drosophilia research.
