Job Description

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the assignment and direct supervision of custodial employees and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of building interiors and exteriors, to include grounds maintenance and related services at CMI’s customer site in Laredo, TX.

Key Job Functions

Responsible for organizing cleaning crews, to include, but not limited to, scheduling and managing work shifts

Responsible for scheduling and supervising grounds maintenance duties and responsibilities

Responsible for scheduling and managing work shifts to accommodate 24 hour 7 day per week operations

oversees the daily performance of the work

Trains others on methods, materials, tools, and equipment

Inspects the satisfactory completion of work performed

Performs functions that help improve productivity

Qualifications

HS Diploma required, Bachelors preferred

At least 5 years of recent (within the last 7 years) experience managing custodial and grounds maintenance services for federal building(s) with 200,000 square feet or greater, with at least one building being no less than 200,000 square feet.

Possess a current Advanced Custodial Technician Certification or equivalent

Must be fully conversant in English

Experience scheduling and managing work shifts to accommodate 24 hour 7 day per week operations.

Experience applying safety standards and policies to subordinate personnel

Must possess organizational and effective communication skills.

Experience in general grounds maintenance practices

Experience in training employees

Experience in proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools, electrically-powered machines, cleaning compounds, solvents and chemicals

Experience with general administrative duties including, but not limited tocreating reports and Action Plans.

Experience applying a Quality Control Program (including, but not limited to, inspecting, scheduling, verifying all contract requirements are completed, correcting QA inspection findings, responding to tenant complaints, improving processes to correct repeated findings, etc).

Must be able to read and understand the contract requirements.

Must have knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used, as well as supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
