Position Summary: Machine Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing components and systems in the final stage of the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to quality and safety standards to ensure finished products meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components and subassemblies into final products according to blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions.
Perform final inspection of assembled products to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
Identify and report defective parts, faulty assemblies, or inconsistencies in documentation.
Perform functional tests and troubleshooting as needed on completed units.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
Keep work area clean and organized
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, tools, equipment, and materials.
May involve occasional overtime depending on production needs.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
Ability to use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Manual dexterity for small part handling and precision assembly.
