About the Role: Alloy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee field operations for environmental abatement and demolition projects, including asbestos, lead, mold remediation, and both interior and structural demolition. This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring project efficiency, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction across multiple sites and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily field operations for environmental abatement and demolition projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, productivity goals, and quality expectations
Assist Scheduling Manager to coordinate labor and equipment needs across branch and regional teams to maximize efficiency
Act as the primary field contact for clients, general contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
Collaborate with Project Managers and Branch Managers to plan and execute project logistics, schedules, and production goals
Enforce company and regulatory safety standards in partnership with the Safety Department, including training and field audits
Supervise warehouse operations including staff oversight, inventory control, and coordination of supply deliveries
Source and procure equipment, consumables, and supplies-negotiating favorable vendor pricing
Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to field staff to support safety awareness, skill development, and leadership growth
Identify and address legal, financial, or contractual risks across field operations
Approve and track overhead invoices, ensuring timely submission and budget adherence
Manage internal operations:
Ensure accurate logging of internal hauling hours in Field Flo
Coordinate with accounting for accurate monthly billing
Oversee weekly submission of waste load-out forms to company portals (e.g., SharePoint, Field Flo)
Permitting processes - Assist and Support Project Managers/Office Managers
Verify and assist with the collection and submission of credit card receipts in Field Flo
Ensure project-related documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time
Conduct regular job site visits to inspect safety, productivity, and quality of work
Support project closeout procedures including reporting, documentation, and compliance
Collaborate with operating teams to support payroll, budgeting, and job cost tracking
Uphold and reinforce company policies, field standards, and administrative procedures
Promote a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, communication, and teamwork Qualifications
Required:
Industry experience in construction, demolition, or environmental remediation
Proven leadership in managing field operations
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR check required)
Ability to pass a background check Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
Knowledge of heavy equipment and demolition techniques Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role requires both office work and on-site field visits, which may include:
Exposure to construction site conditions including dust, debris, noise, and weather extremes
Walking rugged terrain, climbing heights, working near water, and lifting heavy materials
Occasionally long hours, weekend, or holiday work as project needs demand
Travel as required for project support
