SUMMARY

The Safety Manager ensures that all Haydon job sites remain focused on completing projects in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Preview projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety related risks and attend kick-off meeting

Educate operations teams on lessons learned in similar project type to mitigate future incidents

Visit active project sites to assess ongoing work conditions to ensure compliance with established safety policies

Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues on project sites

Conduct routine safety audits as at when due (bi-weekly reviews)

Carry out safety training programs for company employees on regular basis

Investigate accidents to find out their causes and develop lessons learned

Inspect and/or monitor the daily operations of employees to make sure they follow safety policies and laws

Audit incidents and safety inspections to assure all items are closed in a timely manner

Audit equipment inspection reports to ensure that they are repaired timely for employee safety

Maintain safety related reports within the appropriate technology platform

Address employees and trade partners who fail to comply with minimum safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree: or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safety programs. Thorough understanding of construction execution and risk. This position is expected to be self-starting and disciplined in managing deliverables. This position requires working with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position drives on behalf of the company.
